Great to know that you voted. Having spent the whole life in the world's two top democracies, one can understand taking the privilege of voting for granted. We have seen the process all our lives, haven't we?

As far as electronic voting machines (or EVMs) are concerned, India is way, way, way ahead of the USA. In fact, it is only EVM through which you can vote in India and that has been like that for quite a few years now.

I reckon you still remember the Florida fiasco when George Bush was elected the first time for the presidency. He almost got the title of 'King of Chad'. :-P
